Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead client acquisition and revenue growth initiatives within the insurance brokerage sector. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a strong sales background, especially in life, health, general, or specialty insurance products.
The BDM will play a crucial role in expanding our client base, nurturing long-term relationships, and positioning our brokerage services to meet the evolving needs of corporate, SME, and individual clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and execute a business development strategy aligned with organizational goals

Identify and engage prospective clients across B2B and B2C segments

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners

Generate leads through networking, referrals, digital platforms, and events

Promote tailored insurance solutions based on client needs and market trends

Collaborate with underwriting and client servicing teams to close high-quality deals

Track market activity, competitor strategies, and client feedback to improve sales execution

Maintain accurate CRM data and prepare regular performance and pipeline reports

Represent the company at industry seminars, expos, and client meetings

Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal procedures
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in the insurance industry (brokerage experience preferred)

Strong understanding of insurance policies, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics

Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets

Experience working in both B2B and B2C environments is an added advantage
