The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) is hiring an Associate to support strategic government advisory projects across the UAE and broader regions. TBI works closely with political leaders to design and deliver effective strategies, policies, and implementation plans, using technology as a key enabler. This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape governance and policy in transformative ways.
TBI is a global organization comprising over 800 professionals from diverse backgrounds working across more than 40 countries. The Associate role contributes directly to this mission by supporting a range of client engagements, business development efforts, and project management tasks within the UAE or across the broader region.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide support on country-specific or regional projects related to policy, strategy, and delivery initiatives

Conduct in-depth research and analysis to produce client-facing deliverables, insights, and reports for senior leadership

Engage directly with government clients to assess needs, present findings, and refine strategies

Develop tools, dashboards, trackers, and frameworks that enable efficient monitoring and delivery of complex programmes

Assist in launching new in-country projects and provide transitional support until full teams are deployed

Create presentations and proposals for new client opportunities and support expansion into new geographies

Contribute to internal learning by applying innovative approaches and insights gained on the ground
Skills & Qualifications:
-
3–5 years of experience in government, consulting, economics, finance, multilateral institutions, or high-impact NGOs
-
Strong background in strategy and/or management consulting is a plus
-
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate original insights

Highly organized with strong project and time management capabilities

Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on attitude
-
Comfortable engaging with high-level government stakeholders and navigating complex political environments

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey technical and policy ideas clearly

Passion for data-driven decision-making and familiarity with digital tools beyond MS Office is advantageous

Willingness to relocate to the UAE if not already based there (support available)
