Khidmah is seeking an Assistant Vice President – Worker Welfare to lead the development and implementation of worker welfare practices across construction, operation, and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in worker welfare management, particularly within the MENA region, and a strong understanding of international labor standards and UAE labor law. This full-time, on-site role involves extensive stakeholder engagement, compliance monitoring, and proactive risk management to ensure ethical labor practices are upheld throughout the organization’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement worker welfare controls during prequalification, tendering, and monitoring of contractors.

Conduct and review risk assessments and monitoring activities, including worker interviews and site visits.

Assign and revise risk ratings based on ongoing assessments and non-conformance reports.

Maintain logs of grievances, non-conformances, and their resolution timelines.

Generate and present monthly reports highlighting trends and required remedial actions.

Engage internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to drive worker welfare improvements.

Promote best practices aligned with international frameworks (ILO Conventions, UN SDGs, Dhaka Principles).
Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in the MENA region.

Degree in HR Management, Social Work, or Community Development.

Knowledge of UAE Labour Law and international labor welfare frameworks.

Experience with major civil and construction projects.

Proficiency in Excel, databases, and ERP systems (SAP Ariba/Oracle).

Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
