Outlier is a forward-thinking company that partners with some of the world’s most innovative organizations to improve AI models through expert human feedback. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Applied Mathematician to assist in training generative artificial intelligence models.

This is a remote, freelance contract opportunity offering flexible working hours, allowing you to contribute according to your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the factual accuracy and relevance of domain-specific texts generated by AI models.

• Create and respond to questions related to mathematics.

• Evaluate and rank domain-specific answers produced by AI systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related discipline.

• Proven experience working in a professional mathematics-related role.

• Ability to clearly communicate mathematical concepts in fluent English and Danish.

Compensation:

• Core project work is compensated at competitive rates ranging from $30 to $50 USD per hour.

• Rates vary depending on expertise, skill assessments, project requirements, location, and academic qualifications (e.g., PhDs may receive higher pay).

• Lower rates may apply for non-core tasks during onboarding or project training.

• Some projects include incentive-based payments. Please review payment terms for each individual project.

Additional Information:

• This is a 1099 contract opportunity through the Outlier.ai platform.
