Job Description

About the Company:
Our client is a leading FMCG importer and exporter specializing in fresh fruits and vegetables, delivering premium-quality produce to both local and international markets. With a strong presence in the UAE, they are committed to operational excellence and maintaining the highest industry standards.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant to manage payroll, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes while ensuring seamless utility payment management. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the FMCG sector, strong ERP knowledge, and a deep understanding of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly staff reconciliations by comparing system records with official records to ensure accuracy.

  • Prepare payroll entries with appropriate division, department, and employee codes, and obtain FM approval after posting.

  • Generate monthly payroll summaries and reconciliations for review and approval by the GL Supervisor, FM, and CFO.

  • Manage timely payment of utilities, including water, electricity, telecommunications, and Salik replenishments.

  • Conduct monthly utility consumption analysis, identifying abnormal expenses or overcharges and providing relevant explanations.

  • Enhance ERP proficiency by becoming a super user of all finance modules to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

  • Support period-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations and financial reporting in line with IFRS standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Male candidates, aged 40 years or below.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of UAE experience as a General Ledger Accountant within the FMCG industry.

  • Strong proficiency in financial software such as SAP, Oracle, and Excel.

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, payroll processing, reconciliations, and period-end closing procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work within tight deadlines.
