Fairmont The Palm is a prestigious luxury resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. Role Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and energetic Waiters/Waitresses to join our Food & Beverage team at Fairmont The Palm. The role requires greeting guests, presenting menus, taking and processing orders accurately, upselling menu items, and ensuring an excellent dining experience. You will work collaboratively with the team to meet guest needs, maintain cleanliness and service standards, and handle financial transactions with accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

Welcome guests and present menus, highlighting special items and menu changes.

Suggest and upsell food and beverage items to enhance guest experience.

Take accurate food and beverage orders using order-taking pads and POS systems.
-
Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash or card transactions.

Assist with basic cleaning duties and maintain dining area cleanliness.

Cover for absent staff across F&B departments as needed.

Ensure all special dietary requests are accurately recorded and communicated to the kitchen.

Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and additional requests.

Maintain high standards of table service, including pouring wine and serving courses.

Encourage guests to share feedback on platforms such as TripAdvisor and TrustYou.

Adhere to grooming, appearance, and service standards consistently.

Assist with closing shift tasks, including report printing and cash handling.

Support other restaurant areas as required, including telephone handling and financial reconciliation.
Qualifications & Skills:

Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Attention to detail, reliability, and high accuracy in work.

Positive, proactive attitude with strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.

Familiarity with products and menu items sold in the outlet.
-
Proficiency in Micros POS system or similar technology.

Basic knowledge of cooking is an advantage
