The Middle Eastern is seeking passionate Volunteer Journalist Interns to create short video explainers that break down complex news stories. This remote, part-time internship is perfect for aspiring journalists looking to develop on-camera storytelling and research skills while contributing to an innovative, youth-led media platform.
Key Responsibilities:

Research global and Middle East news to develop explainer stories

Write concise and engaging scripts for video content (5–8 minutes)

Record and deliver on-camera explainers

Participate in weekly writing and on-camera workshops

Collaborate with editors and fellow interns on content creation

Stay updated on current events and global developments
Skills Required:

Excellent writing and storytelling abilities

Research proficiency and ability to explain complex topics clearly

Eagerness to learn video journalism (experience not required)

Interest in Middle Eastern geopolitics and global news

Effective communication and teamwork in a remote environment
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or similar passion and drive)

Fluent in English (Arabic or Persian is a plus)

Self-starter with motivation to grow in journalism

Must have access to a device with video recording capabilities
