The Urban Planner II role, based in Abu Dhabi, supports the development of creative, contextually responsive, and economically viable urban planning and design projects. The position involves contributing technical expertise to city-scale strategic, spatial, and master planning projects within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and administration for strategic planning, land use planning, and master planning projects

Collaborate with planners, urban designers, landscape architects, and engineers to complete development and planning assignments

Prepare presentations for clients, stakeholders, and government agencies to facilitate project approvals

Liaise with government authorities to align with development objectives, policies, and procedures
-
Assist senior management in business development, proposal preparation, and recruitment
-
Uphold quality assurance policies and contribute to team and organizational goals
-
Represent AECOM effectively with clients and local authorities, fostering strong relationships
Required Skills & Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite

Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related fields such as economics, geography, urban design, or architecture

3-5 years of relevant experience in urban planning, preferably including both private sector and government work
