As an Underwriter at Soter, you will work at the intersection of technology, finance, and regulation. This role is ideal for a curious, analytical professional eager to navigate complex systems and contribute to the foundational insurance architecture of the future of finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize and manage underwriting portfolios for specialized D&O, Professional Indemnity, Crime, and Slashing insurance products.

• Lead underwriting of large-scale and complex digital asset risks for custodians, exchanges, hedge funds, and staking providers.

• Innovate new insurance products to reduce protection gaps in the market.

• Cultivate relationships with brokers, clients, and partners to establish Soter as a leader in digital asset risk.

• Assess multifaceted risks in client operations and help craft tailored insurance solutions.

• Conduct deep technical due diligence on client governance, technical stacks, and compliance.

• Analyze market data to track risk trends across DeFi, Layer-2, and institutional custody.

• Prepare and review policies, ensuring accuracy for hybrid-currency products (USD, BTC, ETH).

• Manage global submission pipelines, ensuring due diligence materials are gathered and reviewed.

• Provide analytical and administrative support for risk assessments, proposals, and quote generation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines (D&O, E&O, Crime) or a similar domain.

• Understanding of digital asset regulations; familiarity with BMA, VARA, or similar bodies is a plus.

• Passion for digital assets and emerging risk markets; certifications in digital asset risk are advantageous.

• Systems-level thinking with the ability to craft creative, multi-product solutions.

• Strong communication and leadership skills; capable of collaborating with clients, CTOs, and regulators.

• High attention to detail and organizational excellence.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; programming or AI skills are a bonus.
