Mandarin Oriental is seeking a Telecommunications Agent to provide high-quality, efficient, and friendly telephone services to guests. The role involves answering calls, delivering messages, managing wake-up calls, handling guest requests, and maintaining communication standards. In emergencies, the Telecommunications Agent serves as the communication center for the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:

Answer all incoming calls and connect to the appropriate extensions in a timely and professional manner

Accurately take and deliver messages to guests

Handle guest requests for Do Not Disturb (DND) and confidential status

Process personal and automatic wake-up calls for guests
-
Answer guest inquiries and provide assistance or refer to relevant departments as needed

Serve as the communication center during emergencies, managing hotel communications

Keep a record of all Domestic Direct Dial (DDD) and International Direct Dial (IDD) calls

Coordinate with the front office on telephone charges to ensure accurate billing

Monitor TV channels and public area music to ensure proper functioning

Stay informed on telephone directory updates, emergency procedures, and hotel promotions
Candidate Requirements:

Excellent organizational and communication skills
-
Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment is preferred

Additional language skills are a plus
