GSMA, a leading global organization in the mobile industry, is seeking a Technology Manager/Director to lead technology-oriented programs in the MENA region. The role involves overseeing technical projects, engaging with industry stakeholders, and supporting GSMA’s technology initiatives (5G, IoT, RCS, IMEI, Mobile Money, etc.). The position requires strong telecom expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive industry innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Lead technical projects and serve as the regional technical expert for GSMA initiatives.
✅ Develop and execute technology programs to support mobile telecom advancements.
✅ Engage with CTOs, telecom operators, vendors, and regulators in MENA.
✅ Provide technical insights on mobile industry trends, including 5G, IoT, IMEI, and Mobile Money.
✅ Support working groups and industry forums on technical discussions and policy frameworks.
✅ Ensure program delivery and execution align with GSMA’s global strategy.
✅ Drive industry collaborations across telecom, banking, healthcare, and education sectors.
✅ Manage regional business planning, budgeting, and reporting.
✅ Represent GSMA at regional industry events and conferences.

Job Requirements:

📌 Education & Experience:

• Strong background in telecommunications with operator/vendor experience.
• Experience in technical value-added services (VAS) and commercial technology strategy.
• Proven ability to deliver technical presentations and engage stakeholders.

📌 Technical & Industry Knowledge:

• Expertise in 5G, IoT, RCS, IMEI, Mobile Money, and emerging telecom technologies.
• Strong understanding of mobile networks, infrastructure, and telecom regulations.

📌 Skills & Qualifications:

• Fluent in English (Arabic/French is a plus).
• Strong presentation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in the MENA region or international telecom markets.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a matrix structure with multiple internal and external teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently as per role requirements.
