Stantec is hiring a Technical Lead to oversee all technical aspects of water pressurized network projects, from master planning through to detailed design. This client-facing role requires extensive expertise in hydraulic modeling, water transmission and distribution networks, and civil works related to pump stations and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all phases of pressurized network projects including master planning, conceptual and detailed design.

Provide technical direction and hydraulic modeling for water and treated sewage effluent networks.

Oversee internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely, quality project delivery.
-
Review and validate surge analysis studies and civil design aspects.
-
Contribute to the design of irrigation networks and large-diameter pipeline systems.
-
Apply micro-tunneling and advanced construction techniques in relevant civil infrastructure.
-
Participate in team resourcing, software/tool utilization, and technical standard adherence.

Act as the client’s technical representative and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Required Skills:
-
Advanced proficiency in water network hydraulic modeling and civil engineering design.
-
Expertise in pressure networks (water transmission, TSE, pump stations).
-
Solid understanding of surge analysis and large valve chamber construction.
-
Ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
-
Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-
Familiarity with project management tools and delivery-focused approach.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water, or Hydraulic Engineering (Master’s/PhD preferred).

Chartered status with a recognized international engineering body.
-
Minimum 15 years of experience in pressure networks, with a strong civil engineering background.
-
Experience in GCC projects preferred.
-
Previous experience in a client-side role is an advantage.
