GEMS Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team in August 2025 at one of their premium schools in Dubai. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support high-quality teaching and learning in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist teachers in daily activities, supervise children, and contribute to the overall learning experience by supporting both academic and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers with reading, literacy, and numeracy activities.

• Lead small group tasks inside or outside the classroom as directed.

• Assist in preparing classroom materials, worksheets, and displays.

• Supervise groups or whole classes when needed (e.g., emergencies).

• Handle basic caregiving duties such as taking children to the toilet and assisting with hygiene when necessary.

• Maintain tidiness in classrooms and manage educational resources.

• Ensure confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of student interaction.

• Attend staff meetings and participate in school committees.

• Uphold GEMS Education’s policies, code of conduct, and values at all times.

• Go beyond routine duties when required to support school activities or special events.

Requirements:

• A good general education with strong skills in English and Maths.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Basic ICT literacy is desirable.

• Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and relate well with children and staff.

• Prior experience as a teaching assistant or in a child-facing role is preferred.

• Willingness to be involved in extracurricular activities and a proactive, positive attitude.
