Community Options, Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of English & Psychology to join its educational team in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for educators who are committed to delivering engaging, student-centered learning experiences and contributing to a vibrant school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language, English Literature, and Psychology, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment aligned with the school’s vision of “amazing learning.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, interactive lessons in English and Psychology that promote active learning and measurable progress
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
- Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain a respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and curriculum delivery
- Lead CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) activities and contribute to staff training and school events
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being
- Participate in performance management and professional development initiatives
- Uphold school policies, safeguarding procedures, and the Aquila Professional Code of Conduct
- Support marketing and community engagement efforts to promote the school’s mission
Qualifications:
- B.Ed or subject-related degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent and UK QTS
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience up to GCSE level in English Language and Literature
- Experience teaching GCSE Psychology is desirable
- Experience with the National Curriculum for England or IB is preferred
- Experience teaching IBDP English is a plus
