Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Daily Maintenance

• Monitor health of infrastructure: servers, storage, VMs, containers, and services

• Manage incidents and service requests via helpdesk

• Perform system maintenance, patching, and updates (Windows & Linux)

• Ensure backup integrity and conduct restoration tasks as needed

• Maintain updated documentation for procedures and troubleshooting

Server & Desktop Administration

• Administer Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows (10/11) systems

• Manage Active Directory, GPOs, user accounts, and system security

• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-level issues

• Maintain file servers, shared drives, and endpoint security

Virtualization & Containers

• Operate and maintain VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi)

• Deploy and manage Red Hat OpenShift containers

• Manage VMs, templates, and snapshots

Cloud Platform Support

• Provide support across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS

• Assist in provisioning, monitoring, and managing cloud resources

• Support hybrid cloud operations and automation/migration tasks

Automation & Monitoring

• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Monitor infrastructure via Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, etc.

• Set alerts and build proactive response processes

Network & Security Operations

• Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP

• Assist in vulnerability management and security compliance

• Implement endpoint protection and support IT audits

Requirements

Must-Have

• 5+ years of experience in a System Administrator or IT Ops role

• Proficient in Linux and Windows systems

• Experience with VMware vSphere and one cloud platform (Azure, GCP, or AWS)

• Solid knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, VPN)

• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes

• Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform

• Experience with backup solutions like Veeam or Commvault

• Certifications: VCP, RHCSA, Azure Admin Associate, etc.
