Lloyd’s Register is seeking a Surveyor – Marine & Offshore to join their team. This full-time, hybrid role involves assessing the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets. The ideal candidate will provide advice, adhere to budget constraints, and ensure quality service delivery within agreed parameters. This role is a 2-year fixed-term contract based in Al Fujairah, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets.

• Deliver services within the agreed budget, time, and quality parameters.

• Produce deliverables in a defined format and present solutions to clients.

• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, and industry standards.

• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of knowledge.

• Assist in recommending time and value for external client work and identify fee/cost structures.

• Provide guidance to employees and disseminate information for effective knowledge transfer.

• Contribute to service delivery improvement through client feedback.

• Ensure necessary authorizations are obtained and up to date.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent from a recognized tertiary organization in engineering or physical science (minimum two-year program), or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution with relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s officer.

• Membership of an appropriate professional institution.

• Working towards or achieving Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.

• Proficiency in applying theoretical and practical methods to engineering systems.

• Ability to manage projects and processes with technical and commercial insight.

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
