Employment: Full Time | Location: Dubai, UAE

Our client, an international supervision consultancy, has an immediate requirement for an experienced Structural Steel Inspector to join their team in Dubai. The role will focus on new build and refurbishment projects across the Emirates.

Note: Only candidates who have previously worked as a Structural Inspector for a recognized consultancy or PMC business in the UAE will be considered.

📅 Contract: Initial 3-month fixed-term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and act on Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors promptly.

• Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.

• Identify and report any work carried out that does not meet approved drawings/specifications to relevant stakeholders.

• Monitor site quality, safety, health, and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to contractual/QCS specifications and risk assessments.

• Maintain daily site records, including progress photos, and keep them ready for inspection.

• Prepare surveillance reports and, when necessary, non-conformance reports (NCRs).

• Coordinate effectively with other disciplines to resolve interface issues.

• Provide technical support to address and resolve discipline-related site issues.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.

• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in construction supervision of civil build and refurbishment projects.

• Proven UAE experience in a similar role within an engineering consultancy or supervision consultant.

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Deep understanding of construction processes related to structural steel inspection.

Salary

• AED 8,000 – 12,000 per month, inclusive of fixed allowances.
