Job Summary:
Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island is currently seeking a Steward to join its kitchen team. This role is crucial in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in back-of-house areas and supporting overall kitchen operations. The successful candidate will operate dishwashing equipment, follow health and safety standards, and ensure the kitchen remains organized and hazard-free.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate pot-washing and dishwashing machinery to ensure hygienic kitchen standards.

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and waste disposal.

• Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and back-of-house areas as per the cleaning schedule.

• Use proper PPE and adhere to hygiene and safety regulations, especially when handling hazardous substances.

• Report maintenance or hazard issues promptly to supervisors.

• Assist with any additional duties assigned by the hotel’s management.

Skills and Competencies:

• Positive attitude and good communication skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team.

• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in kitchen operations.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience as a kitchen porter or steward in a similar role is an advantage.
