We are currently hiring a Staff Product Designer to join the Shopping Tribe (Food Vertical), specifically within the Finding & Discovery domain. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who brings strategic thinking, product and business acumen, and a mastery of design and research. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, values storytelling and communication, and is passionate about solving complex problems with elegant solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Build deep domain knowledge of the product area and partner with product managers to solve high-impact challenges.

• Conduct generative research, gather user insights, and run workshops to design exceptional customer experiences.

• Use a low-assumption, research-driven design approach to validate concepts and refine solutions.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional squads to shape the future of discovery across the platform.

• Design scalable, simple, and elegant user interfaces with close attention to detail.

• Leverage and contribute to talabat’s evolving design system.

• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to ideate, gather feedback, and reach alignment.

• Present work regularly to stakeholders and leadership for feedback and strategic direction.

• Mentor junior designers and actively contribute to a collaborative and creative design culture.

• Continuously improve tools, design processes, and team productivity.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Design, Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.

• 5–6 years of full-time UX/UI design experience, preferably in fast-paced, consumer-facing, agile environments.

• Experience working with product managers to shape feature strategies and user flows.

• Advanced understanding of design thinking, double diamond frameworks, and hypothesis validation.

• Strong user research skills with 2–3 years of direct user interaction experience.

• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Figma, etc.

• A strong design portfolio showcasing thought process, UX skills, and shipped products.

• Experience in leading workshops and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in an agile environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong communicator and storyteller who can clearly articulate design decisions.

• A humble, curious mindset with a passion for feedback and continuous learning.
