Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is currently seeking experienced and dedicated nursing professionals for the role of Staff Nurse – Endoscopy Procedural with specific expertise in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to join one of the most advanced healthcare institutions in the region, delivering exceptional care to diverse patient populations.

As a Staff Nurse in the Endoscopy Procedural Unit, you will be responsible for providing both general and specialized nursing care by applying evidence-based practices and procedures. This includes managing patient assessments, planning individualized care, administering medications, performing prescribed treatments, and ensuring documentation and teaching are thorough and culturally sensitive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform timely patient admissions, assessments, and updates to care plans.

• Deliver direct patient care while monitoring outcomes and maintaining family-centered care principles.

• Document patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of care interventions.

• Educate patients and their families, validate their understanding, and provide appropriate teaching materials.

• Administer medications and perform treatments following hospital policies and using barcode scanning systems.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess and fulfill patient needs.

• Adhere to evidence-based protocols, report necessary updates, and participate in outcome evaluations.

• Delegate appropriate tasks to the nursing team while ensuring quality care delivery.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the Patient First Philosophy.

• Incorporate patient safety principles and the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Professional Practice Model into daily care.

• Accurately complete charge capture responsibilities in the Epic system, especially within the perioperative services domain.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited program (minimum three-year curriculum).

• Valid and current nursing license in home country.

• Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in a General Surgery or Operating Room setting, with specific exposure to ERCP procedures.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or equivalent – must be current or obtained within 3 months of hire.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification relevant to specialty – current or to be obtained within 6 months.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

• Previous experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Epic, is highly desirable.
