TAQA Distribution is seeking a Sr. Associate in IT & Telecom Category Management to manage and optimize sourcing activities for IT and Telecom services. This on-site, full-time position in Abu Dhabi focuses on data analysis, supplier negotiation, and strategic sourcing aligned with the company’s business goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct organizational assessments to determine IT and telecom needs across departments

Evaluate telecom and IT service providers, focusing on network capability, reliability, and service offerings

Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support performance improvement
-
Prepare detailed analytical reports to support strategic sourcing decisions
-
Manage smaller sourcing projects, ensuring alignment with corporate procurement strategies
-
Support negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable contract terms
-
Collaborate with departments like IT, HR, and Legal to align sourcing strategies
-
Participate in cross-functional meetings and procurement communications
General Duties:

Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and delegation of authority

Deliver timely reports and support business management with procurement progress updates
-
Uphold Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and risk management procedures
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management
-
Experience within a centralized procurement function, global organization, or consultancy

Strong data analysis, reporting, and project management skills
-
Ability to work across departments and manage vendor relationships effectively
