Sourcing Manager – Retail Category

Miral Experiences, a leading name in Abu Dhabi’s tourism and leisure sector, is seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join their procurement team. This full-time, on-site position is focused on leading strategic sourcing and category management within the Retail sector. The role demands a strong understanding of supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, retail procurement optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to drive long-term value for the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming procurement from a transactional process to a strategic function that drives business growth and enhances the customer experience across Miral’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a category management approach tailored to the retail sector, supporting growth and customer experience initiatives.

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure cost savings, efficiency, and supplier innovation.

  • Optimize retail spend across the Miral Group through supply chain re-engineering and value engineering initiatives.

  • Manage and nurture strategic supplier relationships to improve performance, ensure supply continuity, and foster innovation.

  • Oversee contract development and compliance, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards.

  • Lead procurement negotiations to achieve optimal commercial terms and coach business units on best procurement practices.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, delivering strategic sourcing insights and fostering procurement excellence.

  • Contribute to training and capability building related to retail supply chains and sourcing methodologies.

  • Collaborate with the Procurement Operations team to streamline retail procurement processes across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Member or studying toward membership in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS).

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in retail procurement and category/strategic sourcing roles.

  • 2+ years of procurement experience in the UAE/GCC region.

  • Demonstrated expertise in category management, complex tenders, and supplier management.

  • Proven leadership skills and a track record of performance-driven planning and delivery.

  • Effective communicator and motivator with the ability to influence across all levels.

  • Strong customer service orientation and team collaboration skills.

  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on performance measurement and reporting.

  • Deep understanding of market analysis, supplier qualification, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Strong negotiation skills with strategic thinking and commercial awareness.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act on data to support procurement strategy.
