Social Editor – Complex MENA

  • ITP Media Group is launching Complex MENA, the regional extension of Complex, the leading global youth culture media brand. The Social Editor will shape and grow Complex MENA’s digital voice across key social platforms (TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram). This role involves creating culturally relevant content and leading a network of contributors to engage Gen Z and millennial audiences in the MENA region. The role requires hands-on content creation, strategic planning, and the ability to stay ahead of social media trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute platform-specific strategies for social media growth and engagement on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, and Threads.

  • Manage the daily publishing calendar and oversee coverage of trending moments, events, and brand tentpoles.

  • Write witty, on-brand captions that reflect Complex’s voice.

  • Curate regional and global youth culture content for distribution across platforms.

  • Collaborate with editorial, video, and design teams to optimize content for social media.

  • Build a network of contributors and influencers to tap into trends in fashion, music, sports, and lifestyle.

  • Engage with followers to foster community and loyalty, responding to real-time cultural moments.

  • Track social analytics and provide actionable insights to optimize engagement and follower growth.

  • Stay updated on platform trends and experiment with new content formats to keep the audience engaged.

  • Develop social-first series concepts and brand campaigns aligned with editorial and commercial goals.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience managing social media accounts for youth, fashion, or lifestyle brands.

  • Strong understanding of MENA youth culture and internet trends.

  • Proven ability to create engaging content and adapt tone for different platforms.

  • Experience with social analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics).

  • Basic skills in photo and video editing (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Bilingual (Arabic/English) required.

  • Strong network of influencers and content creators in youth culture.

  • Comfortable in a public-facing role and able to serve as a brand ambassador for Complex and ITP Media Group.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Social follower growth and engagement rates.

  • Platform-specific performance metrics (reach, saves, shares, comments).

  • Successful execution of social campaigns.

  • Community sentiment and brand consistency across platforms.

  • Content virality and platform-specific innovation.
