🎯 Job Purpose
We are looking for a Site Superintendent – Structural Engineer to oversee and manage structural engineering activities at the fabrication site. The project is part of the Zuluf AM Upgrade Phase II, focusing on wellhead platform upgrades and subsea installations. The initial contract is for 18 months with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will have experience in site supervision, review and approval of procedures, and the ability to manage contractors efficiently.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision: Oversee fabrication activities for the assigned area, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project progress.

Fabrication Monitoring: Track and monitor contractor performance, ensuring alignment with engineering plans and schedules.

Procedure Review & Approval: Ensure that the procedures and methods used by contractors are in line with industry standards and client requirements.

Contractor Coordination: Maintain strong communication with contractors, ensuring all requirements are met and deviations are addressed.

Project Oversight: Manage and support the construction of electrical submersible pumps (ESPs) and subsea flow lines as part of the Zuluf AM program.

Design & Engineering Analysis: Conduct and review detailed design calculations for heavy equipment foundations, steel structures, and modular structures.

EPC/FEED Support: Provide oversight and support for EPC/FEED design, including structural steel, precast pipe racks, and specialized structures.

Code Compliance: Ensure that all designs and activities adhere to international design codes such as American, British, and International Building Code (IBC).

Change Order Management: Manage change requests, process official responses, and coordinate scope alignment with contractors.

Report & Documentation: Review and monitor drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with technical project specifications.
🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 10-15 years in structural engineering roles within the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry.

Background: Proven experience in site supervision and construction management, particularly in fabrication yards and offshore facilities.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, including the design and analysis of heavy equipment foundations, steel structures, and modular systems.

Knowledge of Codes & Practices: Familiarity with international codes (e.g., American, British, IBC).

Project Management: Experience managing EPC/FEED projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
🌍 Project Details

Project Scope: Zuluf AM Upgrade Phase II involves upgrading 21 wellhead platforms, subsea flow lines, and installing electrical submersible pumps (ESPs). The Sharjah-based scope includes the upgrade of 5 wellhead platforms with new PDM, slipovers, and topside upgrades.
