ILF Consulting Engineers is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead and oversee construction activities for large-scale desalination and water treatment plant projects. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and offers the opportunity to work with a globally recognized engineering consultancy operating in 45 countries.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring strong technical knowledge, team management skills, and extensive experience in large infrastructure projects. The Site Manager will coordinate closely with the project management and construction teams to ensure efficient execution of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all on-site construction activities with support from discipline engineers

• Coordinate with project and construction teams for smooth EPC workflows

• Track construction progress using KPIs and report to senior project management

• Attend and document construction meetings

• Serve as a key liaison with clients, ensuring quality construction management

• Interpret P&IDs, specifications, and IFC drawings for compliance

• Review documentation for Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCCs) and Ready for Commissioning (RFC) Certificates

• Prepare and monitor snag list clearances

• Ensure adherence to QHSE policies and attend company training sessions

• Collaborate with other disciplines for commissioning activities

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

• 20–25 years of experience in large-scale (30 MIGD+) desalination and pipeline construction

• Strong knowledge of construction safety and quality standards

• Leadership and team management skills

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities

• Adaptable, with a proactive and collaborative mindset

• Proficiency in English is mandatory
