As a Senior Specialist in Credit Risk within ADNOC’s Credit Risk Management Department, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing counterparty credit risk exposures across the organization. This high-impact role involves both quantitative and qualitative risk analysis to ensure sound credit decision-making in support of ADNOC Global Trading’s commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct creditworthiness assessments for new and existing counterparties

Recommend internal credit ratings, exposure limits, and collateral strategies

Monitor current and potential future credit exposures daily
-
Provide timely pre-deal credit approvals and ongoing support to front office teams
-
Engage in credit risk input for contract negotiations (e.g., ISDA, CSA)
-
Execute impact analyses and escalate credit limit breaches when necessary

Support the implementation of credit tools and contribute to departmental reports and strategic planning

Maintain robust communication with internal stakeholders and external partners such as banks, insurers, and rating agencies
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field

Minimum 8 years of experience in credit risk roles within trading companies or financial institutions

Strong expertise in commodity markets, financial instruments (futures, options, OTC swaps), and credit concepts (CVaR, NPV, etc.)

Proficient in interpreting financial statements and risk metrics

Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
