Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior QHSE Officer to lead and enhance Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) practices within a dynamic transport and logistics organization. This role is responsible for managing and continuously improving the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with international standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across operations.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, particularly within road transport safety and traffic management systems.
Key Responsibilities
QHSE Management & Compliance

Develop, implement, and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS)

Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, policies, and regulatory requirements

Lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, and environmental performance
Audits & Continuous Improvement
-
Conduct internal and external audits in line with ISO standards
-
Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and track improvements
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using best practices
Health, Safety & Risk Management
-
Promote a strong safety culture across transport operations
-
Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks
-
Ensure adherence to road safety and traffic management systems
Training & Development
-
Deliver QHSE training programs and awareness sessions
-
Develop safety procedures and operational guidelines
-
Support teams in adopting QHSE best practices
Reporting & Documentation
-
Prepare detailed reports on QHSE performance and incidents
-
Maintain accurate documentation and audit records
-
Analyze data to identify trends and improvement areas
Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with operational teams and management
-
Lead change initiatives related to QHSE processes
-
Foster collaboration across multicultural teams
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
-
NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or CSP certification
-
Professional membership (CertIOSH preferred)

ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred)

Minimum 5+ years of QHSE experience, including transport operations

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and report-writing abilities

Proficiency in MS Office tools

Ability to lead audits and implement corrective actions

Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently

Experience managing diverse, multicultural teams

Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies (advantageous)
