TotalEnergies is looking for a Senior Project Developer for their Renewable Energy (REN) Division in Dubai. The division focuses on the development, construction, operations, and financing of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, storage, and off-grid energy. The strategic goal is to accumulate 35 GW by 2025 and 100 GW by 2030.

The Senior Project Developer is responsible for ensuring the project meets all conditions required for construction, including securing permits, financing, and contractor selection. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team and overseeing project development activities, from initiation through to financial close.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage permitting process, ensuring all approvals are obtained timely and cost-effectively.

• Work with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with Business Developers in project maturation, budget & schedule preparation, and partnership strategy.

• Lead acquisition activities, including due diligence and preparing management review memos.

• Develop project plans, including schedules, risk assessments, budgets, and quality standards.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as landowners, authorities, and utilities to secure site control, permits, and grid connection.

• Prepare investment files and manage the financial close preparation process.

• Oversee contractors’ selection and contract negotiations.

• Manage offtake agreements to ensure project structuring aligns with various project streams.

Skills Required:

• Master’s degree or Engineering degree, with at least 15 years of experience in the utilities sector.

• Expertise in Wind / BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and experience leading financial close processes.

• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development, and local regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel frequently.
