Senior Planning Engineer

🔧 10 – 15 Years (UAE-based project planning experience mandatory)

About the Role:

A leading construction company in Dubai is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with strong expertise in project scheduling, resource planning, and time impact analysis. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Primavera P6 and MS Project and capable of leading the planning and scheduling function on complex, large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, integrating all activities and milestones

• Track project progress, identify delays, critical paths, and propose corrective actions

• Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timelines and deliverables are met

• Conduct progress review meetings and present insights to management

• Utilize Primavera P6 and MS Project to prepare detailed planning and reporting documents

• Prepare and support Extension of Time (EoT) claims with full documentation

• Maintain KPIs, generate resource histograms, cash flows, and earned value analysis

• Ensure planning and scheduling practices adhere to contractual obligations and industry standards

Candidate Profile:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Master’s degree is an advantage)

• Experience: 10 to 15 years of UAE-based experience in construction project planning

• Certifications: PMP / PMI-SP or similar certifications preferred

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools

  • Strong understanding of contract management and EoT claims

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and lead planning functions independently
