Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead Musical Theatre Instructor to join our team at Diverse Performing Arts Centre, located in The Curve Building, Al Quoz 3, Dubai. This role is ideal for an experienced musical theatre educator with a passion for nurturing talent, delivering high-quality instruction, and directing professional-level productions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing students’ skills in singing, acting, and performance while preparing them for exams, auditions, and stage productions.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Artistic Development

Conduct engaging and inspiring musical theatre classes for students across various age groups and skill levels.

Teach on the BTEC International Level 3 Performing Arts Programme.

Provide vocal training to enhance students’ technique, expression, and confidence.

Accompany classes on the piano during rehearsals and performances.

Serve as Musical Director, overseeing song arrangements and ensuring high-quality musical interpretations.

Develop and lead at least one full-length musical theatre production annually, while supporting additional performances throughout the year.

Design and implement a curriculum aligned with industry standards, preparing students for exams, auditions, and professional opportunities.
Production & Performance Management

Collaborate with department heads, production teams, and external creatives to design and stage high-quality performances.

Lead musical direction, vocal coaching, and performance rehearsals.

Oversee all aspects of production, from concept and planning to final execution.

Conduct auditions and manage student performances to maintain professional standards.
Operational & Industry Engagement

Plan and manage class schedules, rehearsals, and events.

Ensure compliance with health & safety standards during teaching and performances.

Optimize departmental resources to balance creativity and cost-effectiveness.

Foster relationships with industry professionals, providing students with real-world exposure and career opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
✅ Minimum 2 years of experience teaching musical theatre in group and individual settings.
✅ Proficient in piano accompaniment for classes and rehearsals.
✅ Experienced Musical Director, skilled in vocal direction and arrangement.
✅ Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
✅ Strong understanding of musical theatre standards, vocal techniques, and performance history.
✅ Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.
✅ Ability to work collaboratively and transform scripts into dynamic stage productions.
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Experience teaching BTEC Level 3 in Performing Arts.
⭐ Industry connections or professional experience in musical theatre, production, or performing arts.
