Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Procurement Manager to lead and optimize procurement functions across hospitals and clinics. This strategic role is vital for enhancing supply chain operations, ensuring cost efficiency, and building robust supplier partnerships in line with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare procurement within the GCC and will demonstrate leadership in managing cross-functional teams, vendor negotiations, and strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

🛒 Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

• Lead procurement operations for both medical and non-medical supplies across hospitals and clinics

• Design and implement long-term strategic sourcing plans and procurement strategies

• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management

• Standardize product specifications and create rate cards to support catalog creation

🏥 Healthcare Supply Chain Management

• Manage inventory, warehousing, logistics, and distribution with high efficiency

• Align sourcing strategies with patient safety and quality care outcomes

• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to optimize technical and functional specifications

📊 Governance & Compliance

• Develop procurement policies, SOPs, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) frameworks

• Ensure adherence to KPIs and SLAs, and publish detailed procurement dashboards weekly, monthly, and quarterly

• Monitor compliance with procurement policy across all verticals

🔄 Team & Stakeholder Management

• Coach, mentor, and guide procurement staff toward performance excellence

• Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders from SCM Operations, SCM Logistics, Finance, and Medical departments

• Facilitate efficient supplier collaboration and maintain strong stakeholder engagement

🤝 Vendor Relationship & Risk Management

• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure continuity, quality, and cost-effectiveness

• Implement supplier risk management frameworks and service-level improvement strategies

• Conduct regular vendor assessments to support business continuity and mitigate risks

Desired Candidate Profile:

🎓 Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Healthcare Management preferred

📈 Experience:

• Minimum 8 – 15 years of procurement experience in the healthcare sector, preferably in the GCC region

• Proven experience managing strategic sourcing, vendor management, and ERP-based procurement operations

• Deep understanding of healthcare supply chain standards, products, and compliance

• Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and procurement technologies
