Senior Manager Facilities and Ground Support Equipment

Volantes Technical Recruitment is seeking a Senior Manager – Facilities & Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for a leading MRO client at Al Maktoum Airport (DWC), Dubai. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s state-of-the-art facilities and ground support equipment, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Management:

  • Oversee the entire GSE fleet, including inventory control, maintenance scheduling, and replacement planning.
  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure GSE operates efficiently and complies with aviation safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliable procurement and servicing of equipment.
  • Control and monitor GSE-related costs, including maintenance, fuel, and spare parts procurement.

Facilities Management:

  • Supervise maintenance and repair of company facilities, hangars, workshops, and operational areas.
  • Plan and manage facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions to support business growth.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations, including fire safety, electrical safety, and access control.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs to optimize operations.

Leadership & Operational Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of GSE technicians and facility maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance plans to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize facility and GSE utilization.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in GSE and facility management within the aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GSE operations, maintenance practices, and aviation regulations.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and large-scale operations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience in vendor management.
