The Senior Manager, Destination Development Strategy is responsible for shaping and managing Dubai’s destination product-side strategy, aligning it with market trends and tourism goals. The role involves overseeing destination development projects, managing internal and external stakeholders, and developing business cases for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). The senior manager will also ensure projects’ strategic alignment, monitor performance metrics, and directly manage high-impact projects to drive Dubai’s long-term tourism development.
Responsibilities:

Develop and manage Dubai’s destination product-side strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and tourism goals

Conduct product gap and opportunity analyses to refresh and update the strategy

Frame and scope destination development projects, identifying challenges, opportunities, and solutions

Supervise external consultants and advisors to align projects with Dubai’s tourism vision

Develop business cases for PPPs and onboard key stakeholders for smooth project execution

Prioritize destination development projects based on ROI and tourism objectives

Monitor and report on strategic portfolio impact, optimizing performance based on KPIs

Manage select high-impact projects to ensure successful implementation and long-term impact on tourism
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, Marketing, or related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus)

Professional certifications such as PMP, CDME are advantageous

Minimum 7 years of experience in destination development, strategic planning, or project management

Proven track record in managing strategic projects and collaborating with external consultants

Expertise in PPP development, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination

Experience in strategic performance management, including KPI optimization
