The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST), in partnership with Geosyntec, is seeking an experienced Senior Leader: Marine and Coastal Engineering to join their Dubai-based team. This on-site role is ideal for a senior professional with a strong background in marine, coastal, geotechnical, or structural engineering who is passionate about delivering innovative infrastructure solutions in the coastal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage siting, permitting, planning, licensing, compliance, and environmental oversight of marine and coastal infrastructure projects.

Deliver multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule while upholding the highest quality standards.

Lead the full project lifecycle: planning, financial oversight, risk management, and contractual administration.

Oversee engineering and design of waterfront and marine infrastructure, including harbors, marinas, mooring systems, breakwaters, seawalls, and shoreline stabilization.

Direct preparation of engineering deliverables including calculations, reports, technical drawings, specifications, and permit applications.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term engagement.
Education and Licensure:
-
Bachelor’s degree in civil, coastal, structural, or geotechnical engineering (required).

Master’s degree in one of the relevant engineering fields (preferred).
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in marine, coastal, geotechnical, or structural engineering.

Proven experience in planning, permitting, compliance, and oversight of coastal infrastructure projects.

Demonstrated ability in managing full project delivery including budget, change, and risk management.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing.

Familiarity with international design standards including Eurocode and British Standards.
