APCO is seeking a highly experienced Senior English Writer to join its dynamic team in Dubai. This is an on-site role where you’ll be a pivotal player in crafting high-quality, compelling content for high-profile clients, including ministries and the energy sector. The role involves acting as a final quality control checkpoint for all communication materials — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and messaging excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Write and edit a wide range of communication materials including press releases, media invites, speeches, opinion editorials, Q&As, bios, and digital content.

Craft official speeches for conferences, meetings, and senior government officials.

Develop media plans, assess opportunities, and deliver media-ready content.

Edit social media posts, publications, and specialized campaign content.

Guide client teams on editorial standards and media communications.

Collaborate with project managers to meet strategic communication objectives.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.

Deliver accurate, polished material under tight deadlines.

Support ad hoc requests and reporting as assigned by the direct manager.
Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Literature, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, media, or diplomatic environments.

Native-level English fluency with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Strong understanding of client messaging, public relations, and media demands.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Broad awareness of local, regional, and global current affairs.

Able to conduct industry-specific research and integrate insights into written content.

Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
