Job Title: Senior Energy Modeler (IESVE Specialist)

Job Description:

AESG, a leading international specialist consultancy, engineering, and advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Energy Modeler for a 3-month contract with immediate availability. AESG operates across multiple locations globally, including Dubai, Riyadh, London, Cape Town, Sydney, Cairo, and Singapore. The company collaborates with clients to provide innovative solutions to their most complex challenges.

The Senior Energy Modeler will be responsible for energy modeling using IESVE software, developing detailed energy models for buildings, focusing on architectural, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and lighting systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and a passion for sustainable energy solutions, as well as the ability to work on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Energy Analysis & Optimization:

  • Analyze building energy efficiency and identify improvement areas.

  • Assess the impact of various design choices on energy consumption and sustainability goals.

  • Optimize HVAC system designs to balance energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

• Technical Support & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate energy-efficient design solutions into projects.

  • Provide guidance to junior consultants and assist with quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) tasks.

  • Independently manage project sub-tasks and deliver high-quality work.

• Reporting & Communication:

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing energy analysis results, recommendations, and insights.

  • Present findings to clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Sustainability Integration:

  • Contribute to energy modeling for various sustainability rating systems such as LEED, Mostadam, and Estidama.

  • Ensure energy models align with project sustainability goals and compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Educational Requirements:

  • Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Energy, or Architectural Engineering.

• Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy modeling within the sustainability sector of the built environment.

  • Experience with energy modeling for various sustainability rating systems is highly desirable.

  • Strong background in HVAC design is advantageous.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in using IESVE software for energy modeling.

  • Ability to analyze, optimize, and interpret complex energy systems for building performance.

• Additional Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently on project tasks.

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to guide junior team members.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and manage client relationships.
