KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Economist to join its Dubai-based team, with periodic travel to Iraq. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in national accounts, input-output modeling, and macroeconomic strategy. The successful candidate will lead the development of a national input-output (I-O) table as part of a broader economic masterplan, supporting the Iraq Ministry of Planning in shaping national development policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the construction and analysis of a national input-output (I-O) table
• Transform data using industry-standard I-O methodologies
• Collect, validate, and integrate data from diverse sources
• Ensure consistency across national accounts frameworks
• Conduct economic impact assessments using I-O and CGE models
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance data quality and modeling techniques
• Deliver training and capacity building for national accounts staff
• Produce technical documentation and public-facing reports

Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

• Advanced degree (preferably PhD) in Economics or related field
• 7–10 years of experience in national accounts or economic statistics
• Proven expertise in I-O table development and CGE modeling
• Proficiency in STATA, R, Python, and Excel
• Familiarity with environmental-economic accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
