CooperSurgical, a leading fertility and women’s healthcare company, is seeking a Senior Director of R&D Digital Innovation to drive new software development initiatives and digital innovations. The role involves full ownership of incubating CooperSurgical’s digital offerings, including software, equipment, and services. This key leadership position will guide the digital innovation strategy, collaborate across teams, and lead the development of cutting-edge technology solutions to meet business objectives and growth aspirations.

Responsibilities:

• Define and build R&D Digital Innovation capabilities for CooperSurgical’s digital product and service offerings.

• Establish best practices, technical rigor, and agile methodologies to improve and create new digital business solutions.

• Co-develop and continuously refine the company’s digital innovation strategy in collaboration with the Strategy Team, Commercial Operations, and IT.

• Partner with global commercial leaders to shape and optimize strategic portfolio management of digital solutions and services.

• Develop and own the digital offerings roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and software value streams.

• Lead planning and execution of digital innovation projects on time and within budget.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resource and capability utilization and integration of software and hardware.

• Select and build relationships with external software development partners.

• Ensure global software development compliance by following security, quality, and regulatory guidelines.

• Represent R&D in cross-functional meetings and reviews.

Qualifications:

• Track record of successfully incubating and developing profitable digital product/service offerings.

• Experience with distributed software systems for complex, large-scale applications.

• Proficiency in developing digital ecosystem strategies and technology roadmaps at an enterprise scale.

• Experience with SaaS and SaaP software solutions, particularly in the medical device field.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong experience in leading teams, with a focus on project completion and process discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years (B.S.), 12 years (M.S.), or 10 years (Ph.D.) experience in product incubation or business development related to software and digital offerings.

• At least 7 years of people management responsibility.

Education:

• Minimum BS; advanced engineering degree (MS or PhD) preferred, with digital domain knowledge.

Work Environment:

• Occasional domestic and international travel (~10%)
