Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain high-performance data structures and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in big data processing, database management, and cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data integrity across our infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, deep knowledge of algorithms, and hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources.

• Ensure high-performance data processing and efficient retrieval mechanisms for large-scale datasets.

🔹 Collaboration & Data Governance

• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and implement robust solutions.

• Design and implement data models, schemas, and metadata structures that support analytics and governance.

• Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance at all levels.

🔹 Performance Optimization & Monitoring

• Optimize data storage and retrieval for speed, reliability, and scalability.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data processing issues, performance bottlenecks, and quality concerns.

🔹 Cloud & Big Data Technologies

• Work with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Utilize big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark) to enhance scalability and efficiency.

🔹 Continuous Improvement & Documentation

• Stay updated with emerging data engineering trends, tools, and best practices.

• Document technical specifications, data flows, and system architecture to ensure transparency and maintainability.

Qualifications & Skills

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
✅ 5-12 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and cloud solutions.
✅ Strong knowledge of data structures (trees, graphs, hash tables, linked lists, etc.).
✅ Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
✅ Experience with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
✅ Proficiency in cloud-based storage and computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
✅ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and optimization skills.
✅ Fluent in Arabic and English.
