Role Overview

Aswaar Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Consultant – Policies & Procedures to support the design, review, and implementation of finance policies, SOPs, and internal control frameworks for a leading FMCG and agriculture-focused organization.

This contract role focuses on strengthening financial governance, process efficiency, and compliance across finance operations, while driving standardization and best practices aligned with IFRS and internal control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and standardize finance policies, procedures, SOPs, and process maps.

• Conduct end-to-end reviews of finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, inventory, costing, fixed assets, and CAPEX.

• Identify control gaps and recommend enhancements aligned with IFRS, risk management frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Lead process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives across agriculture and FMCG/retail operations.

• Partner with finance, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure policy adoption and compliance.

• Design and deliver training sessions and workshops on new or updated policies and procedures.

• Prepare assessment reports, governance documentation, and management-level presentations.

• Support internal audits, risk assessments, and finance system or ERP enhancement initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Professional qualification preferred: CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA.

• 7–10 years of experience in finance policies & procedures, internal controls, or process improvement roles.

• Prior experience within agriculture and FMCG/retail sectors is highly preferred.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify and document complex financial processes.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and strong proficiency in MS Office tools.
