VaporVM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compromise Assessment Engineer to join its cybersecurity team within the UAE telecommunications sector. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in threat hunting, digital forensics, and telecom infrastructure. You’ll play a critical role in identifying and mitigating advanced cyber threats, collaborating with SOC, incident response, and threat intelligence teams to protect one of the region’s most vital infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct compromise assessments across telecom environments to detect IOCs, APTs, and anomalies
• Analyze telecom-specific infrastructure including SS7, Diameter, LTE, and BSS/OSS platforms
• Perform endpoint, network, and log analysis using SIEM and EDR tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, CrowdStrike)
• Utilize tools like Wireshark, NetScout, and Niksun for packet analysis
• Execute digital forensics using EnCase, FTK, Volatility, and X-Ways
• Correlate findings with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect)
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK framework to map adversary behaviors
• Develop and maintain compromise assessment playbooks
• Deliver technical reports and executive summaries with impact analysis and recommendations
• Stay current on telecom-specific threat actors and cybersecurity trends

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 2+ years in the telecom industry
• Proven expertise in compromise assessment, threat hunting, and incident response
• Strong knowledge of APT tactics, malware analysis, and forensic techniques
• Familiarity with telecom protocols (SS7, SIP, Diameter, LTE, 5G Core)
• Proficiency in tools such as Splunk, QRadar, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, FTK, EnCase, Wireshark
• Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell
• Understanding of Windows, Linux, and network infrastructure
• Preferred certifications: GCFA, GCIH, GCIA, CHFI
