Senior Business Development Manager – Leisure
Shangri-La Group Abu Dhabi , UAE

Shangri-La Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager with a strong background in sales, specifically within the hospitality industry’s leisure segment. The role requires a strategic thinker with proven sales achievements and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients, tour operators, and other key partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow leisure segment revenue.

  • Build and maintain relationships with DMCs & tour operators to identify new business opportunities.

  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

  • Manage key accounts and ensure repeat business through strong relationships.

  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, and networking events.

  • Collaborate with internal departments for seamless execution of leisure bookings.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing insights to management.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize revenue potential.

  • Organize and conduct site inspections, and promote the hotel’s facilities and services.

  • Execute sales and marketing action plans to promote hotel promotions and activities.

  • Ensure a safe and environmentally friendly working environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the hospitality industry, specifically the leisure segment.

  • Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Business Administration.

  • In-depth knowledge of the UAE market and culture.

  • Strong network in the travel and tourism industry.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue growth.

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to implement strategies.

  • Proficiency in organizational planning and multitasking.

  • Knowledge of luxury market trends, digital distribution channels, and revenue management strategies.
