AD Ports Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements elicitation, process modeling, backlog prioritization, and solution validation for Customs solutions. This full-time on-site role involves collaborating with clients, trade stakeholders, and development teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and operational realities.
The role requires experience in Customs, trade facilitation initiatives, or government IT systems, with a strong background in business analysis, product ownership, and Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:

Elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for Customs Single Window solutions.

Act as the primary liaison between clients, trade stakeholders, and development teams.

Refine the backlog and act as Product Owner to align solutions with strategic goals.

Develop Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) ensuring clarity, testability, and traceability.

Analyze and optimize Customs business processes in compliance with international trade standards.

Define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules for new features.

Support configuration, testing, UAT, and iterative improvements.

Provide oversight on defect triaging, impact analysis, and prioritization of fixes/enhancements.
Strategic Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of cluster strategies ensuring alignment with organizational mission and values.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

Professional finance qualification preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Customs, trade facilitation initiatives, or government IT systems.

Proven experience in product ownership or acting as a proxy Product Owner in Agile environments.

Familiarity with international trade standards (WCO, WTO, UN/CEFACT) desirable.

Strong understanding of Customs processes, risk management frameworks, and Single Window implementations.

Experience with requirements management tools, workflow systems, and business process modeling.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and facilitation skills.

Proficiency in English; Arabic or Urdu is an added advantage.

Knowledge of project management and change control processes; ability to work in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with geographically distributed stakeholders.
