Job Summary:

We are hiring a Senior Associate – Venture Capital Investments to lead our investment sourcing, evaluation, and portfolio support efforts. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives on analytical rigor, startup ecosystems, and the strategic impact of capital deployment in early-stage companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing & Due Diligence

• Identify and evaluate early-stage startups across sectors and geographies.

• Lead financial, legal, and technical due diligence.

• Conduct competitive landscape analyses, assess business models, and plan exit strategies.

• Draft comprehensive investment memos and pitch to the Investment Committee.

Financial & Market Analysis

• Build advanced financial models (DCF, LBO, comparables).

• Analyze cap tables, fundraising scenarios, and unit economics.

• Conduct TAM/SAM/SOM assessments and cohort analyses.

Portfolio & Stakeholder Management

• Track performance and return projections of portfolio companies.

• Support M&A activities and strategic exits.

• Guide founders through follow-on fundraising and growth planning.

Internal Operations & CRM

• Use tools like Affinity, Salesforce, Airtable, and Notion to manage deal flow and documentation.

• Enhance investment operations and pipeline visibility through structured reporting.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Financial & Analytical:

• Expert in financial modeling, valuation, and exit scenario planning.

• Strong command of Excel (macros, pivot tables), SQL, and PowerPoint.

• Familiar with data tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Investment Execution:

• Experience with convertible notes, SAFEs, equity structures, and term sheets.

• Capable of navigating legal frameworks and board governance.

Technical Acumen:

• Familiarity with product stacks, APIs, and SaaS/deep tech architectures.

• Basic coding knowledge (Python, R) preferred.

Soft Skills & Traits:

• Strong storytelling and communication ability (written and verbal).

• Exceptional judgment and decision-making under uncertainty.

• Founder empathy and active engagement with the startup ecosystem.

• Leadership with a collaborative and high-ownership mindset.

• Organizational excellence with a focus on high-leverage tasks.

Qualifications:

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; CFA Level I & II certifications highly regarded.

• Technical: Python (basic/intermediate proficiency desirable).

• Experience: 5–9 years in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, or a related investment role.
