Senior Accountant

A confidential client of Exclusive Talent Management is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior Accountant to support audit and accounting engagements. This role is ideal for candidates with audit firm experience who are confident handling end-to-end accounting, VAT, and IFRS-compliant financial reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, statutory reporting, audit execution, and client coordination while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing

• Prepare complete financial statements, including:

  • Statement of Financial Position

  • Income Statement

  • Cash Flow Statement

• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet schedules, including:

  • Fixed assets

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Accounts receivable and payable

  • Prepayments and accruals

  • Intercompany balances

• Manage AR/AP cycles, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and prepare aging reports

• Calculate VAT liabilities in compliance with UAE VAT Law and submit VAT returns via the FTA portal

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS

• Liaise with clients during audit and accounting engagements

• Participate in planning and execution of external audits

• Take responsibility for completing audit engagements in line with firm methodologies

• Prepare audit reports and management letters

• Perform analytical reviews of financial statements

• Attend stock counts when required

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management

• Carry out additional tasks assigned by management

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• ACCA / CPA / CA (Fully or Partly Qualified) – Preferred

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an audit firm – Preferred

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS

• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar

• Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• High level of professionalism and confidentiality awareness

Salary

AED 5,500 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances)
