Sunmarke School, an innovative and award-winning educational institution in Dubai, is seeking a Secondary SENCO to join their team in August 2025. The role will focus on the development of inclusive practices for Students of Determination, ensuring their educational needs are met, and they are supported to achieve outstanding progress. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the inclusion provision in the secondary phase and collaborating with staff to implement effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the identification, teaching, and assessment of Students of Determination

• Support the development of inclusive practices and raise attainment across the secondary phase

• Monitor the impact of inclusion strategies and make adjustments to ensure student success

• Work closely with other staff, parents, and external agencies to support student learning

• Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school life

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 3 years of experience as a SENCO

• A bachelor’s degree in education with a SENCO qualification (Master’s or NASENCo preferred)

• Experience with BTEC Introductory Level and AQA Entry Level

• Knowledge of exam access arrangements

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• A passion for inclusive education and developing every student’s potential
