IFF is seeking a motivated and result-driven Scent Design Manager to join the Fine Fragrance category within their Scent division. As a Scent Design Manager, you will execute customer strategies and collaborate with global teams to create innovative fragrance solutions that meet the evolving needs of the market.

This role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams, leading fragrance development strategies, and ensuring IFF’s fragrances consistently exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Go-To-Market Projects and implement innovative fragrance development strategies.

• Connect market, customer, and consumer needs to create competitive fragrance solutions.

• Collaborate with teams (perfumers, technical, CI/marketing) to uncover challenges and opportunities.

• Develop creative strategies aligned with Holistic Scent Design principles.

• Manage olfactive strategies by providing creative direction to perfumers, stimulating creative exploration and differentiation.

• Continuously listen to customer feedback to ensure products exceed expectations.

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.

• Communicate market developments and share competitive insights with other departments.

Required Skills:

• Excellent olfactive communication skills (ability to discriminate, describe, and remember odors).

• Strong understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and fragrance ingredients.

• Solid understanding of Fine Fragrance formulations and stability risks.

• Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver under pressure.

• Commercial mindset and a bottom-line-oriented approach.

• Team player with excellent influencing skills at all organizational levels.

• Fluent in English.

Required Experience:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, Consumer Science, Product Research, or related disciplines.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Fragrance evaluation.

• Olfactive assessment will be part of the selection process.
