Sales Engineer – Solar

Job Purpose

As a Sales Engineer – Solar, your primary role is to support the Solar Energy Division by driving sales across SME, corporate, commercial, and industrial markets. You’ll focus on delivering Solar Performance Contracting (SPC) and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) solutions for on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid PV systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and convert leads into solid sales opportunities.

  • Schedule and attend client meetings, presentations, and site surveys.

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data in the CRM system.

  • Prepare quotes, contracts, and proposals for prospective clients.

  • Recommend solar solutions based on client needs and site conditions.

  • Perform basic solar resource calculations (climate, shading, orientation).

  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery.

  • Explain both technical and financial aspects of solar offerings.

  • Represent the company in solar exhibitions and trade events.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Renewable Energy).

  • 5–7 years of industry experience, with 2–4 years specifically in rooftop solar PV sales in the UAE.

  • Solar certifications (e.g., DEWA-approved) are advantageous.

  • Proven track record in solar business development, especially in performance contracting.


Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth technical understanding of solar PV systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.

  • Skilled in preparing and delivering impactful presentations.

  • High attention to detail, with strong planning and organizational abilities.

  • Fluent in assessing site feasibility using tools and measurements.

  • Collaborative, ethical, and performance-driven mindset.
