Synthon, a global leader in the development of complex generic pharmaceutical products, is seeking a Sales Development Manager to manage business development and market expansion across the CIS and African regions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, a strong network in the region, and proven success in market expansion and sales optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial targets for geographic expansion and market share growth within the assigned regions (CIS, Africa).

  • Establish new out-licensing deals to expand market presence for Synthon’s product portfolio.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, discussing commercial terms and forecasting products.

  • Manage the product life cycle, building strategies to optimize sales and margins.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, commercial teams) to ensure execution of plans.

  • Prospect clients for license opportunities and provide market intelligence.

  • Travel to regions, client headquarters, trade fairs, and other events to prospect and market Synthon’s offerings.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or Life Sciences.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a commercial position in the pharmaceutical industry or related field. Proven track record in market/client expansion.

  • Skills: Strong understanding of P&L impacts, forecasting, and pricing. Experience in Operations & Regulatory Affairs.

  • Network: Extensive existing network in the CIS and Africa regions.

  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Personal Skills:

  • Analytical, flexible, and energetic with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to initiate and follow through on projects in an international, fast-paced environment.
