Sales Account Executive
Aspen Technology Abu Dhabi , UAE

Aspen Technology is seeking a seasoned Sales Account Executive to manage and expand strategic customer relationships within the Energy, Petroleum, and Engineering sectors. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing 3–5 major accounts and representing AspenTech’s complete product and service range. The ideal candidate will drive revenue growth by aligning AspenTech’s solutions with client business needs and fostering long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic account planning to establish mutual goals, milestones, and performance objectives

  • Represent AspenTech’s full portfolio of solutions and services to assigned strategic accounts

  • Engage with C-level stakeholders to develop and deliver value-based solutions

  • Identify customer needs, track industry trends, and provide relevant strategic insights

  • Ensure account performance and high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Drive opportunity development, proposals, contract negotiations, and pricing approvals

  • Collaborate across internal teams including marketing, pre-sales, and service to ensure account success

  • Maintain key performance metrics such as customer engagement frequency, pipeline velocity, and quarterly reviews

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Chemical, Industrial, Production, or Petroleum Engineering)

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in strategic account management

  • At least 10 years of enterprise software sales experience; engineering solution sales is a plus

  • Strong understanding of process industry operations and business processes

  • Experience with process modeling software, advanced process control, and planning solutions preferred

  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and lead cross-functional teams

  • Strong executive presence, influencing skills, and motivation
